NDIS

NDIS stands for the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It was introduced in 2013 to assist with finding supports for people with a disability.

To be eligible for NDIS funding: you need to be aged between 9 and 65, be living in Australia with citizenship or permanent residency, have a disability which is caused by permanent impairment, and need disability specific supports to assist with daily activities.

Saha Supports provides services to NDIS participants, we are dedicated to empowering
individuals with disabilities to live productive lives. We can work directly with you and your support coordinator to ensure that you get the care and support that you need.

At Saha Supports, we charge for services based on the NDIS price guide. This means there is no out of pocket charge for you to receive our services. Our Schedule of fees are in line with NDIS Price Guides

NDIS, TAC, Complex Neurological conditions, Core Supports, Community Based Care

TAC

TAC stands for the Transport Accident Commission and it’s a government body that provides support and financial aid to people injured in transport accidents in Victoria.

There are many different areas where the TAC can provide support including medical treatment, rehabilitation, income support. The TAC also operates under a “no fault” scheme meaning that supports and medical benefits are offered to everyone, regardless of who
caused the accident to occur.

Saha Supports provide services to TAC funded clients, and we can offer dedicated in-home support to ensure that you can continue to get the care that you need whilst remaining at home.

Complex Neurological Conditions

A neurological condition describes any sort of disease or disorder that affects the brain or spinal cord. There are many conditions that fall under the umbrella of complex neurological conditions. These can include but are not limited to.
At Saha Supports, our team of Support Workers are very experienced at dealing with complex neurological conditions. We can assist you with maintaining your independence as you recover from your condition.

Core Supports

Once you receive your NDIS budget, it will be allocated into different categories. These can include core supports, capacity building and capital supports budget. At Saha Supports, our team can work with you to ensure that you make the most out of your Core Supports budget. Core supports is made up of the following categories.
Assistance with Daily Life
These can include activities such as domestic assistance, personal care, and yard maintenance.
Consumables
This can include things like assistive equipment, low-cost assistive technology, or equipment to improve your independence.
Assistance with community participation
This can include assistance with attending social events or accessing the community such as going shopping.
Transport
This is support that helps you travel to work or other places that will help you pursue the goals in your plan. How you can spend your transport funding and how it is paid to you (whether upfront or in regular payments) will be different for each person.

Community Based Care

Community-based care involves providing supports in a person’s home or in the community as opposed to doing so in a hospital or other institution such as a nursing home. The importance of community-based care is that it helps people to remain independent in their community, whilst keeping them out of hospital or other facilities.

At Saha Supports, our team is very experienced at providing care within the home. We can work with you to ensure that you get back to the things that you enjoy doing, and that you can live a fulfilling and productive life.
